Quadeca - Vanisher, Horizon Scraper
An interesting sound with some tiktok-sadboy indie folk charm mixed with loud maximalism and hip-hop. This record has brilliant production and instrumentation which is well layered to make it sound grand or suffocating or invoke emotion whenever necessary.
The album attempts to take the listener in different directions, such as on the fantastic instrumental track 'i dream about sinking', but ultimately doesn't go very far to justify the 1 hour and 10 minute runtime. The lyrics are trying to be meaningful but end up coming across as 'fake deep' as you would expect from a young white rich person. I will check out the artist's other work in the future as I have heard good things about 'I didn't mean to haunt you' and 'Scrapyard'.
