Beabadoobee - This is how tomorrow moves [Chorus]
Beabadoobee comes back from her previous album strongly, showing far greater maturity than it her previous releases, with less teenage angst, and it serves her well, and showing the audience her newfound confidence and ability to convey deeper meaning.
The album is about romance and maturity, and with songs like 'tie my shoes', where she confronts her neglectful father, or 'girl song', where she talks about self-image and communication, she delves into deeper topics.
There are many stand-out songs with groovy melodies and unique instrumentation, and a lot of the album feels inspired by the likes of Elliott Smith.
For the artist's third studio album, it really shows how she has found her sound and created style just different enough from the rest, which will undoubtedly help solidify her space in the music scene.
However, the album didn't really bring any new ideas to the table, and the lyrics were oftentimes something to makes them interesting, which is a shame considering the amazing vocal performance, and the beautiful and unique instrumentation which makes this album a joy to listen to.
